I just played through this a bit cuz it's been a hot minute since checking it out and i LOVE the popup like "LONG DROP" and i got another one but i was cackling cuz i was pecking the shite outta the dudes lolol, I cant remember how to build the nest at the moment and I couldn't see it in the comments, is building the nest still an aspect of the game? ALSO, the background layers moving asynchronously is a really nifty effect and i LOVE the silhouette trees, don't know what techniques you used to make them but DAMN! they are spot on lolol
Shift while on the ground will place the nest. I'm glad you liked the background trees, just lots of fiddling around in gimp to make them. I'm still not 100% happy with them but they are good enough for now. Its been a bit slow of late because uni stuff, but its almost the end of one set and start of the next so I should get a week or 3 where I can make progress. I want to get the main menu / pause menu existing, then controls hints on screen then an ending to the level and scoring / stats screen.
I didnt realize for a sec why i wasnt able to fly, lolol but i eventually used my overwhelming hard to find skills of looking at things hahahah, that's pretty awesome to control the flight time in this way and the graphics on the meter are cool too
HOLY!!!! look at all the work on this game so far!!! lolol i am SLACKING, lolol all my terrains are just one place holder block mostly, well done your effort definitely shows AND is inspiring for me to stay motivated on my own project and learning!

My favourite part is when they look up right as the poop hits them.
2nd favourite is the magpie sounds bird
